Access Adriatic is a private boat concierge for the Split–Hvar corridor. We plan the day — the route, the boat and the skipper, the swim stops, the lunch table — and book it directly with the local skipper who runs it, so one conversation replaces a week of comparing listings you have no way to verify. Where the day starts changes what the day can be

Split has the deepest pool of boats and the widest fan of routes, and it is the only departure point from which every headline day — the cave, Vis, Brač, Hvar and the Pakleni Islands — is still reachable between breakfast and dinner. Hvar town starts you an hour of open water ahead: the Pakleni coves are minutes off the riva, Šćedro stays quiet all summer, and the run to Biševo is materially shorter than the Split version of the same cave. Hvar’s north shore is a different coast again — small family boats out of Stari Grad, Jelsa and Vrboska, an empty Kabal peninsula, and the shortest hop on the island across to Zlatni Rat. Trogir and the Čiovo villa belt sit furthest west, close to the lagoon and the Šolta channel, and save you the taxi into the city before the day has even begun. Which page you actually want

The cards above fall into four kinds of day. The departure pages — Split, Hvar, Trogir, the north shore — are for guests who know where they are sleeping and not yet what they are doing. The named routes are for guests who already want one specific thing: the cave, Stiniva’s cliff gap, Zlatni Rat, the lagoon before the day boats find it. The short forms — half a day, an evening cruise from either town — are for weeks that already have too much in them. And the family page exists because parents ask a completely different set of questions before booking, none of which are about scenery.

Distance and wind decide more than preference

Two things quietly rewrite plans on this water. The first is distance. Vis and Biševo are genuine open-water runs, and the same cave sits well over an hour closer to Hvar than to Split — worth knowing before you book the version that starts at seven in the morning. How long each crossing takes in ordinary conditions is the cleanest way to judge whether a route makes a good day or a long one. The second is wind. The maestral builds most summer afternoons and the bura comes down hard and cold from the north, and between them they decide which routes stay comfortable and whether the cave opens at all. Boat and budget

Two equally good boats will quote the same route at very different numbers, because price follows hull class, distance, fuel, season and the hours you keep the skipper — not the name of the route. What actually sits inside a quote is worth ten minutes before you compare anything, and the difference between a RIB, a walkaround and a small flybridge shapes how the day feels more than the route does. Every price we pass on is confirmed directly with the skipper first.
